Privacy Policy

1. Data Collection Summary

For the app to function, we need to collect certain data. By using our app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Data We Collect

We divide the data we collect into two categories:

A. Information You Provide Directly:

Contact Information:

Your name and email address, which are used to create your account, authenticate you, and communicate with you.

User Content:

  • Event Details: Your event name (e.g., "Leo and Liz's Wedding"), date, welcome message, and itinerary details.
  • Photos and Videos: Images you voluntarily upload to your invitation gallery.
  • Guest Lists: The names of your guests, assigned pass numbers, and table organization.
  • Search History: Terms you search within your own guest list.

B. Information We Collect Automatically (and Our Partners):

Identifiers:

  • User ID: A unique ID we generate for your account in our database.
  • Device ID: We collect your device's push notification token (FCM) to send you notifications (e.g., "A guest has confirmed").

Purchase History:

We keep a record of the plans you purchase (e.g., "Premium Plan") to unlock corresponding features in your account. We do not collect or store your credit card information; this is handled securely by Apple (App Store) and Google (Play Store).

Approximate Location:

We use Google Maps services for the address autocomplete feature when adding a location. Google may collect your approximate location to improve the accuracy of these suggestions.

Usage and Diagnostic Data:

Through services like Firebase Analytics, we automatically collect:

  • Interaction Data: Which screens you visit, which buttons you click, and which features you use.
  • Error and Performance Data: Crash logs and performance data (loading times) to help us find and fix bugs.
  • Advertising Data: The collected identifiers (Device ID, User ID) may be used by our partners (Google and Apple) for their own advertising networks.

3. Hardware Permissions (Camera)

Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription): We request permission to use your camera for one purpose only: to scan guests' QR codes at your event entrance. The app processes the image in real-time for validation. We do not save, store, or transmit any photos or videos from the camera.

4. How and Why We Use Your Data

App Functionality (Our Primary Use):

We use your data to authenticate you, display your invitations, save your content (photos, guests, etc.), process your purchases, and send push notifications.

Data Analysis:

We use usage and diagnostic data to understand how users interact with the app, which features are popular, and how we can improve stability and performance.

Developer Advertising or Marketing:

We may use your email to send you communications about your account or marketing about new features and Invitango templates (you can unsubscribe at any time).

Third-Party Advertising (Tracking):

As indicated in Apple's guidelines, the use of sign-in SDKs such as Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In constitutes "tracking." These providers (Google and Apple) may link your activity in our app (such as the fact that you logged in) with data from other apps to show you more relevant ads on their platforms (e.g., on Google or YouTube). We do not share your personal data, such as your guest list, with advertising networks.

5. Security and Retention

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. We maintain your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our retention policies.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can manage most of your data directly from the app or by contacting us.

7. Contact

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us.
